FutureCorps creates and supports innovative programs in the following areas:
• Special needs and ‘at risk’ children or teens: building the capacity, self-confidence and life skills of children who are diagnosed as having high functioning ASD (autism spectrum disorder), ADHD (attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder), learning or developmental delays, and other children who are referred by professionals as being ‘at risk’ and in need of a social skills program
• Motivational teaching: supporting teachers with evidence-based learning strategies and approaches to help children/teens with various capabilities ranging from special needs to neuro-typical children who are ‘at risk’ and who need additional motivation to advance academically
• Nutrition and environmental health: supporting the general public with proven strategies and resources that help them avoid toxic ingredients in their food and household products
• Women’s empowerment: identifying programs that assist women who are economically and/or situationally challenged and provide them with the opportunity to create a better life for themselves and their family
• Economic empowerment: identifying and supporting creative programs that provide the support to the poor and homeless
• Mental health: developing and supporting educational programs, particularly for children, teens and young adults that employ innovative approaches to address mental health and
• Arts and documentaries: using creative and informative documentary films and inspirational arts programs to teach youth, the general public, corporations (through their social responsibility programs), and other non-governmental partners about important issues in areas that align with FutureCorps’ vision, mission, core values and approach
• Social business: supporting organizations that develop/build businesses not for the sake of profit, but for social good
